With the current update of the membership database we are extending an open hand to those who are paying dues that have not yet signed a membership card. After all the paying members were entered into the new system it was found there are many state employees paying fair shares of dues but not active members. If you think you maybe one of these members please contact us immediately to sign your card. We are going to try and visit many of the Departments that have a large number of these employees between April 7 and April 18. Please look for scheduled times to visit our table to get more information about your union. UNION DUES Many of you have noticed a slight increase in the dues being deducted from your paycheck. Please know Local 1 did not raise these dues this came from the International office. For more information about the amount of dues visit www.afscme.org.
